In March this year Paul Guy married Danielle East in a ceremony held on the North Head historic reserve. What a fabulous backdrop for these photos taken by Marama Flay. Paul and Dani had been together for four years before the wedding and North Head was very special to them as it was the location for their first date and proposal three years later.
About their day Dani said:"A really neat thing was that it was actually Paul's Dad Peter who married us! (i.e. he was the celebrant!). He did such a fantastic job and had everyone laughing and crying - sometimes simultaneously! Even Paul got a bit choked up during our vows - VERY unlike him - which then set off just about every female in sight!"
We asked her what she would change about the day and she said;
"Everything went really well - just way too fast! We had our ceremony at 4.30pm (as we wanted to avoid the Auckland heat), but I wish we'd had it a bit earlier now so that we could've had more time at the venue." The venue they chose for the reception was the Fernz Lodge in Birkenhead.
So with the help of the girls in Takapuna Dani chose the Brianna Bolero gown (I love that she has given us a pic with the bolero on. She teamed it with a veil from Illusions and also the Madison wedge shoe.
